Thai Muang Golf Club
There is also a good local course at Thai Muang, about 45 minutes north of Phuket, on the mainland. This is less crowded and enjoys a stunning setting on the foreshore, often resulting in cooling sea breezes. It is close enough to Phuket to be considered part of the Greater Phuket area, but far enough to be totally unspoiled.
The only seaside championship golf course along the Andaman Sea offers dramatic holes, lush fairways and breath-taking scenery. Thai Muang poses a fascinating test of skill for golfers of every level taking them through the full range of human emotions, from sheer exasperation to pure ecstasy.
The 18th hole is spectacular running 463 yards in length with white sandy beaches beside its fairway. As you make your way from the tee box to the 18th hole you will be struck by the panorama of the Andaman Sea with its deep blue hue and rolling white surf to your left and the majestic mountains far away to your right.
